Wolters Kluwer Health engaged Pedrera to design and develop a website that would provide MS sufferers with trusted, valuable content from credible sources.

LiveWiseMS

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disabling disease of the central nervous system, which causes many different symptoms. For those who suffer from MS, there is an urgent need to find strategies and solutions for managing their symptoms. A web search will yield thousands of results. However, much of the information online is unreliable and lacks review from credible sources.

Wolters Kluwer Health engaged Pedrera to design and develop a website that would solve this problem for MS sufferers. The website, LiveWiseMS.org, provides visitors with valuable content, such as a searchable resource library, journal articles, videos, newsletters and more. But most importantly, the website content is reviewed and approved by the International Organization of MS Nurses. This makes the website a trusted resource for the MS community.

Pedrera provided a complete set of services for Wolters Kluwer. We started with an in-depth discovery phase, which then informed our user experience design (information architecture, content planning, taxonomy and wireframing). We also established the branding for the website, and delivered a harmonized aesthetic that made searching the dense site content intuitive and straightforward.

The site was programmed in ExpressionEngine, allowing non-technical managers to update the content with ease. Pedrera also provided web infrastructure services, as we set up and managed the hosting environment. LiveWiseMS.org has proven to be a valued source of information to the MS community. The site attracts a great deal of organic traffic, with long visitation times that demonstrate a high level of engagement.
